PODCAST: China acetone supply remains tight, demand to be closely monitored

SINGAPORE (ICIS)–Domestic acetone prices in east China fluctuated narrowly in early May, amid a supply crunch and demand weakness.

This was after prices hit a year-to-date high in end-April, supported by short availability.

Spot prices softened from mid-May, as weaker demand amid downstream operation cuts outweighed tight supply.

Market players would need to closely monitor downstream demand for further direction in the near term.
